1. Privacy-Preserving View Counting (Zero Raw IP Logging)

VelvetStream does not store raw visitor IP addresses in view analytics. When a video is watched, our backend computes a one-way daily salted HMAC-SHA256 digest solely to prevent page refreshes from inflating view counts.

2. Client-Side Watch History Control

Your “Recently Watched” history is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage and is never shared with third-party ad networks or cached on shared CDN edges. You can pause or purge it at any time on the Watch History page.

3. Identity Verification Vault Isolation

Performer and studio age-verification records required by 18 U.S.C. § 2257 are encrypted at rest (AES-256) in an isolated compliance store and are never accessible through public API endpoints.
