Age Verification, Age Assurance & Parental Controls
VelvetStream is strictly restricted to consenting adults aged 18 years or older (or 21+ where required by local statute). We implement technical RTA headers, performer identity verification, and jurisdiction-specific age assurance controls.
1. Visitor Age Assurance & Jurisdiction Selection
Select your applicable legal framework below. Where statutory third-party age-estimation or digital ID tokens are mandated (such as specific US state statutes, UK Online Safety Act, or EU DSA rules), our edge gateway integrates with privacy-preserving zero-knowledge age assurance providers.
2. Mandatory Performer & Studio Age Verification (Zero Anonymous Uploads)
Anonymous public uploads are strictly prohibited on VelvetStream. Before any video can transition from PENDING_REVIEW to PUBLISHED:
- Every creator or partner studio must pass government-issued photo ID verification and biometric liveness checks.
- Signed model consent releases and 18 U.S.C. § 2257 custodian records must be linked to the video's
compliance_record_id. - Human Trust & Safety moderators must complete the 4-point compliance audit checklist in the Admin Console.
3. Parental Controls & RTA Meta Labeling
Every page on VelvetStream emits the standard RTA-5042-1996-1400-1577-RTA HTTP header and meta tag so parental control software (Net Nanny, CyberPatrol, Qustodio, CleanBrowsing, and OS-level Family Safety filters) automatically blocks access for minors.
